What everyone else did, I had to do 10 times that amount of work.
Excitement held me fast to my seat. The plan formed before my eyes and I felt a veil lift. Before, my thoughts scattered around my brain. In the blink of an eye, everything clicked into place. I had the goods and only needed to take action. What everyone else did, I had to do 10 times that amount of work. The whispers grew into screams and I knew that my mentors finally got into my consciousness. My mentors are the people I read, follow, and whose content I consume by the gallon.
My copy-and-paste style no longer would work. I had to be my own person with my own voice. The reality sunk in. My audience was small but loyal. To be a thought leader, I needed to work with integrity. To be a media person, I needed to document my reality. To be a businessman, I needed to provide massive amounts of value. It all became simple. Do each of these things as me. No bs, no hype.
Would it work? Only time will tell.
