Learning to Write

Writing is a skill.

Learned through repetition.

Like any skill, it dies without constant use.

So, I’ve committed.

Learning to write, daily.

Put my ideas on paper. Sort them. And present them to you.

I appreciate you.

Personally, I may not know you. But my writing has always been for you.

I like learning. And, writing well is a good skill to have.

Challenge accepted.

Today’s Focus

I have to win

Today I will …

Eat well.

Exercise.

Wake up Early.

Spend a few hours on my business.

Put out a new blog post.

Spend time with my family.

Think deeply.

Strategize.

Read a book.

Execute my day’s plan.

Because, truly, the final destination is death.

For the weekend

Been hustlin’ all week. And it keeps going this weekend.

What I’m Reading –

Just picked up “Steal Like An Artist” by Austin Kleon. Love it so far. My favorite line, “Steal the thinking behind the style”.

What I’m Listening To –

Went back to some rap. “Believe Me” by Lil Wayne (Ft. Drake). Needed a change up from the classical electronics, country, and smooth R&B.

What I’m Watching –

Just got into Luther on Netflix. Trying not to spend too much time watching.

Podcast Addition –

Heavyweight by Jonathan Goldstein & Gimlet Media. The title does justice to the content. The first episode gave me feelings.

Thanks for reading!

#Founder Journal: Be Consistent

There is much to say. And I realize I can’t say it all at once.

So, I will say it bit by bit. Day in, Day out. And one day, years from now, I will have said it all.

For now, I’m happy with this idea.

My voice will be heard. And my opinion matters.

Be Consistent. Compounding interest works in life as in business.

Drip … Drip … Drip

Small drops from great heights can create a tsunami.

Multi-tasking

I cannot do it.

My brain does not work that way.

I can run ideas through my head amazingly fast in series. Similar to a lightning fast calculator. But still one by one.

When I try to run ideas at the same time, the wires get crossed. Ideas bounce into each other and then I follow tangents to nowhere.

So, I recognize this and I don’t multi-task.

One item in, one out. All day long.

I feel great.  Control the flow.

Before I would try to be like everyone else, but this works for me.

Try it. Slow down. Do it slow at first. Like anything, over time you will pick up speed.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Be present with the task at hand.work-harder
